I had plenty of mods and ENB preset in use. I played the game with GTX 660, until this sping. Fixed memory usage makes the game more pleasant to play, but nothing really eases the performance itself. Having ENBoost and SKSE memory tweak active are very much reommended, but neither of them really makes the game any less resource hungry. Seeing how many spikes the vanilla game already throws at you, your game will run smoother than before. Having a stable game with less memory spikes already increases performance. Skyrim ENB download: ENB - Skyrim Premade configurations: CTD and Memory patch ENBoost by Boris Vorontsov You can also set them yourself. After that you will either use premade ENBoost configurations from Nexus, or you can set values yourself. This does not lift the memory limit for Skyrim, but allows your card to use your computer memory to relief the stress, allowing your game to be more stable, avoiding memory spikes and making it less prone to crash from such spikes.įor ENBoost, you will need to install the binary pack from enbdev. ENBoost uses enbost.exe to tie VRAM and RAM usage together. There is no need to do that, or to install any performance heavy presets to your game. SHIFT+ENTER opens the ENB GUI ingame (open the console, if screen spins after a mouse), where you can set and test settings yourself. You only need the ENB binary pack and - if you wish - can do your own tweaks for it. You do not need any ENB preset to use the ENBoost.

When you speak about 'any enb', you will need to understand that you are likely speaking about preset configurations that are made for the game and shared in sites like Nexus. I have mods like frostfall, vivid weather, PerMa etc. I have gtx 660 and 8 gb ram I have some texture mods like HD Skyrim but I use lite version, some texture mods for characters (nothing like CBBE or some plastic doll stuff).

So I'd like to know if I could use enboost to increase performance but I don't want to use any enb. I've even tried to use safety load but it's not helping. Sometimes it even drops from 60 to 30fps in one second. It goes from 60fps-57fps(-55fps) what causes 1-2 second stutter. If you wish to modify some game, download several versions of ENBSeries and try them all, which will look better, without graphic artifacts and with as much effects as possible.
