When trying to run Benchmark Vantage, temps would reach the mid 80's C. This system is my fifth build and my most expensive yet. But I can see where smaller more compact cases may cause an issue. I have a full tower so I didnt need to make any tight loops int he hoses. Hoses are flexible and connections to radiator and cpu block are sturdy. The Corsair CWCH50 looked easy enough to try for my first water cooling experience. I quickly found out I wasnt going to be able to get away with just air cooling for this processor. Overall Review: After trying 2 different custom air coolers on the core i7 975. For me just changing the direction of the front fan was not enough. also mentioned before, rear fan direction changes, becoming an intake of cool air for the radiator. Pros: EZ install, nice size, self contained and affortable.Ĭons: 120mm fan could be stronger.
